Ethical Guidelines
The Archives de l’Institut Pasteur de Tunis follows the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and is committed to ensuring the integrity of the scholarly and editorial process. Authors are expected to adhere to the following principles when submitting their work:
Intellectual Integrity
- Submitted work must be rigorous, honest, and free from any data manipulation, falsification, or fabrication, including image alterations.
- Results should be presented clearly, without distortion or exaggeration.
Originality and Exclusivity
- Contributions must be original and unpublished, and should not be submitted simultaneously to other journals.
- Partial reuse of previously published material is only acceptable if justified, clearly indicated, and properly referenced (self-plagiarism must be avoided).
- Authors should not divide one study into multiple parts to artificially to increase the number of publications.
References and Citations
- All sources-including direct quotations, paraphrases, or data-must be properly cited.
- Quotation marks must be used for verbatim citations, and all sources must be listed in the bibliography.
- Permissions must be obtained for any copyrighted material.
Data and Supporting Documentation
- Upon request, authors must provide the data or documentation that support their findings, except in cases involving sensitive or confidential information.
Authorship Attribution
- The list of authors must accurately reflect individual contributions at the time of submission.
- Any changes to authorship (additions or removals) must be justified and approved by the editorial board before acceptance.
Conflicts of interest
Authors must disclose any conflict of interest that could influence the interpretation of their manuscript. If no conflicts exist, the following statement should be provided: "The authors have declared that no competing interests exist."
Plagiarism
Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism before or during publication process. Any suspicion of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, will be investigated. Depending on the severity of the case, the journal reserves the right to reject or retract the article, even after publication.
