Peer review process
All manuscripts submitted to Archives de l’Institut Pasteur de Tunis” are subject to a double-blind peer review. In wich neither authors nor reviewers know each other's identities.
- Authors may suggest or exclude specific reviewers when submitting a manuscript, with clear justification.
- Suggested reviewers must be independent and verifiable (e.g., institutional email, professional profile, ORCID ID).
All submissions will be initially assessed by the editorial board for suitability for the journal. Manuscripts deemed appropriate are then typically sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to evaluate the scientific quality, originality of the work. Reviewers provide comments and recommendations, which are considered by the Editor-in chef.
The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles is depending of the editor in chief.
Review time line:
- Initial editorial assenssment: typically, 1-2 weeks
- Peer review process: typically, 4-6 weeks, depending on reviewer availability
Final decision and communication to authors: within 8 weeks from submission
